The 2021 Mazda CX-30 named IIHS Top Safety Pick+

The 2021 Mazda CX-30 was recently named a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the leading agency responsible for testing new vehicle safety in North America.

In order to receive the prestigious and rare award, the new Mazda CX-30 had to receive the highest grade in all six IIHS crash tests as well as high grades in active safety evaluation and headlight effectiveness. The 2021 Mazda CX-30 passed the IIHS’ most difficult tests with flying colors, notably the Small Overlap test.

In doing so, the 2021 Mazda CX-30 became the latest Mazda model to receive the top award in safety from the IIHS, joining both Mazda3 variants, the Mazda6, the Mazda CX-3, the Mazda CX-5, and the Mazda CX-9. No other automaker has as many safety awards as Mazda.

“With safety a top priority for Mazda, we are proud to have the CX-30 earn the 2020 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award,“ said Mazda North American Operations President Jeff Guyton. “Mazda is committed to providing the most advanced safety technologies in all of our vehicles. We continually strive to challenge ourselves to create products and technologies, that provide our customers a confident and joyful driving experience.“
