When does it deploy its electricity?   During idling and in low speed ranges.   Slow driving and stop/go traffic.   100% EV mode for short trips and constantly supporting the engine like a regular hybrid vehicle.   100% electricity all of the time.
  Where does it send power?

Who is it best for?   People who want the increased gas savings from hybrid technology and a high-quality driving experience.   People who want the gas savings of an electric drivetrain but don't want to worry about charging.   People who want an EV daily driver but with the added confidence of gas for longer trips.   People who want to cut gas out entirely.

With this in mind, Mazda is dedicated to becoming 100% electrified by 2030. This plan is grounded in meeting the wants and needs of consumers today and in the future, whether that’s with an electrified gasoline vehicle, hybrid vehicle, plug-in hybrid electric, or battery electric vehicle. Mazda is set to manufacture 9 electrified models by 2025, and have 100% of their fleet electrified by the year 2030.
