First unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show last November and then for the first time in Canada at the Montreal Auto Show in January, the 2019 Mazda3 is now on sale at a starting price of $18,000.
We’ll talk about the Mazda3 in more detail in a second text, but for now we just want to look at the various versions, trims, and models available in the new Mazda3 lineup. To say that there are a lot of options would be an understatement. You’re sure to find the new Mazda3 that’s perfect for you with the equipment and features you want, let’s just put it that way.
Three Versions of the 2019 Mazda3: GX, GS, and GT
Starting at $18,000, the new 2019 Mazda3 features a range of standard features including a digital center gauge display with 7-inch LCD screen, 8-speaker sound system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and LED headlights.
You can add a Convenience package for an extra $2,300 and get 16-inch wheels, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, air conditioning, heated front seats, cruise control with steering wheel-mounted controls, body-coloured power exterior mirrors.
You can also opt for a 2019 Mazda3 Sport GX which gives you a sleek hatchback design and more cargo space along with all the base features and Convenience package features of the sedan for just $21,300.
The 2019 Mazda3 GS starts at $22,700 and also includes the base features plus the Convenience package, dual-zone climate controls, heated leather steering wheel and Mazda’s i-ACTIVESENSE active safety features.
The latter includes Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go function, Advanced Smart City Brake Support with Pedestrian Detection, high-speed Smart Brake Support, Lane-keep Assist System, Lane Departure Warning System, High Beam Control System, Forward Obstruction Warning, and Distance Recognition Support System.
Up to this point, all versions are powered by a 155-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder SKYACTIV-G engine. Starting with the GS you can order a more powerful 186-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine.
The 2019 Mazda3 GS is also available with all-wheel drive starting at $26,000 making it one of the few compact vehicles even available with AWD. The Sport version comes standard with the 2.5-liter SKYACTIV-G with 186 horsepower. All-wheel drive is available with the Mazda3 Sport GS for just $27,000.
The Mazda3 GT is the top-of-the-line version in both sedan and Sport models. The sedan starts at $26,200 while the Sport is available at $27,200. You can AWD in both versions for an extra $4,200 and also get all of the equipment and features the 2019 Mazda3 offers.
